Muffins are made with a batter type mixture, and I can't remember the proper name for the other cake style mix where you begin by creaming butter and sugar.What the difference between cake and muffin recipes?
In a lot of cases, there is not much difference. Both are baked in the same pan, and usually lined w/ paper cups.





Muffins are usually eaten at breakfast, and do not have icing.





Cupcakes are usually regular cake batter of some sort, have icing, and are dessert.
